Dodgem by Design was among the elite eight greyhounds named to the 2002
All-America team. Dodgem's Career spanned three-years on the
prestigious Derby Lane/Tampa Greyhound circuit. The son of Gable
Dodge and Cruzin By Design proved to be a worthy opponent and emerged
victorious in races featuring other nationally recognized athletes.
Dodgem's
signature performance was in the stakes final of the $85,000 Sprint
Classic at Derby Lane. Dodgem held off the legendary
Talentedmrripley, respectfully and in the process became the only
greyhound to halt Kiowa Sweet Trey's winning spree during his 2002
tenure at Derby Lane.
To prove his
win was not a hoax, Dodgem By Design repeated his performance in the
Matinee Idol beating a stellar field that included All-American's
Courageous Nicky and Talentedmrripley along with multiple stakes winner
Stan's Boy Flyer respectfully.
